Our Classes are a Sharing of Expertise
Ceramic sculpture and vessels have been Vera Lightstone's lifelong work. She has been creating and teaching classes and private students at the Craft Students League, the JCC and in her midtown Manhattan studio for many years Students learn pottery, PMC and sculpture techniques and are encouraged to develop their own individual styles of handmade artwork.
The newest creative adventure is PMC. The workshops in Precious Metal Clay (aka Art Silver Clay or Silverclay) cover precious metal clay in all its forms -- clay, syringe, paste and paper sheets. The versatility of the silver clay and the ease of the techniques of working with it makes classes productive, full of surprises and lots of fun! Students go home with many fine finished pieces in only a few days.
Silver clay is the exciting new medium that works like clay and fires to fine silver or gold. Classes are taught in the New York City studio of Vera Lightstone. Vera is one of a very limited & select group of PMC Connection Certified Senior Teachers in the United States and the only Senior Teacher with classes in the heart of the Tri-State Area (New York, New Jersey & Connecticut).
Our studio is VERY conveniently located on 39th Street between 8th & 9th Ave a short walking distance from Penn Station & the LIRR, Times Square/Port Authority & NJ Path trains, within easy access from the NY NJ & Long Island Bridges, Tunnels & Area Airports.  It is also near Grand Central Station, with access to Westchester, Connecticut and points North.
